Josh proudly served in the US Marine Corps for 13 years. Josh worked as Motor Vehicle Operator, Drill Instructor, Air Command and Control Electronics Operator, Martial Arts Instructor, Tactical Air Defense Controller, and a Basic Instructor. Josh was currently attending Sowela Technical College and earning a degree in Information Technology. He was very smart and loved learning new things. Josh loved to play his guitar, listened to music, attend concerts, tinkering with fixing things, but especially working on cars and trucks. He was an avid Dragon Ball fan! Josh loved his family and spending time with them. Josh was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, and brother who will be remembered always.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frank Moore, great-grandparents, Lydia and Luke Lavergne.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kayla Marie Moore; four children, Drake Moore, Julian Moore, Addison Moore, and Odin Moore; parents, John and Margi Moore; brother, Mathew Moore and wife, Elizabeth; sister, Megan Moore; sister, Brenda Garcia; grandparents, Charles and Maudie Ryan, and Mary Moore, mother-in-law, Kim Treme and mother-in-law, Kim Pilcher; sister-in-law, Taylor Wilburn; brother-in-law, Logan Treme and wife, Mallory; brother-in-law, Carrick Pilcher and wife, Janine; eleven nieces and nephews, Riley, Ava, Natalie, Jules, Emma, Jaxson, Phoenix, Boston, Braxton, Haven, and Jasmin; best friend, Sean Simpson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel. Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux will lead services.
