Beverley passed peacefully into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior on May 20th, 2020 after a brief but noble battle with Mesothelioma. She is predeceased by her eldest son, Richard, in 2003; and her dear mother, Ethel, in 2014. She is survived and remembered by Stanley, her devoted husband of 55 years; her brother, Bob Freeman; her son, David & wife Barb; daughter-in-law Lori (Paul); and grandchildren, Rebecca, James, Matthew & Emily, who were truly her pride and joy.
Born in Edmonton to Ethel and Robert Freeman, Bev moved with her mother to Vancouver in the early 60’s where she met & married Stan. Throughout their 55 years & many adventures together they lived in Vancouver, Vernon, and Richmond where they raised chickens and grew blueberries. They lived in Burnaby, where they started Canadian Home Improvement Centre, and finally North Delta where they bought a larger home after their kids had left. Mom dedicated her time to the family business while still managing to be a successful Real Estate Agent in the 1990’s. She had a heart for service, giving her time tirelessly to her church where she developed lifelong friendships – particularly by opening up their home for bible studies which she loved to do. Bev had a great thirst for the Scripture and devoted herself to its study. She had a keen interest in politics and her and Stan loved to travel and over the years were able to see the world together.
Mom was a glamorous woman who loved to laugh. Her family was her joy and is her legacy and we will love and miss her deeply. The family would like to thank her GP Dr. Weinberg for his unwavering service as well as Dr.’s Ong and Mitri and Nurse Carly. They were a gift to us in our time of need. Due to Covid there will only be a small graveside service.
