Leo Dale Williams age 81, passed away on May 18, 2020 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Leo was born April 4, 1939 in Royal Oak, Michigan to the late Virgil L. and Trilby "Ambline" Williams. He was the youngest of four children and the only son.
Leo grew up in Hazel Park, Michigan where he was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Leo graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1957, and continued his education at General Motors Institute in their mechanical engineering program. His career with General Motors began in 1961 and he retired from General Motors after thirty-one years of service.
Leo married the love of his life, Deanna Partin, in 1961. They spent fifty-nine years of loving, laughing, and raising their family. He was a founding member of America's Corvette Club of Michigan, where he and his wife formed many lasting friendships and made many enjoyable memories together.
Leo is survived by his sweetheart, Deanna. Loving father of Todd (Theresa) Williams, Terri (Lane) Lauer.
Dear grandfather of Kaitlin and Sarah Williams and Blaze and Kacy Lauer. Leo is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Phyllis Ayers, Eilene Partin and Shirley Partin along with many nieces and nephews. Leo was preceded in death by his three sisters, Ruth Cunningham, Gayleen Lindquist and Barbara Daniel.
The family will receive friends on Saturday May 30, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home 30351 Dequindre Road Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
