Earline Holland, our mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, has left this Earthly Life and Crossed over the River Jordan on May 20, 2020. We find our comfort at this very difficult time in knowing our mother is now in a beautiful place, and in Heavenly Peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, along with many of her loved ones preceding her in death. Her twin sister, Geraldine McGlocklin, her granddaughter, Doline Michelle Johnson, her three sons, Terry Lynn Johnson, Tommy Gwynn Johnson, and Jimmy Dean Johnson. Her parents, Alvin and Gladys Harden, her paternal Grandparents, Walter and Gertie Verbel-Harden, and her maternal Grandparents, George Washington and Iva Eason Bruff. Mom had seven brothers and sisters, six of which have also preceded her in death; twin sister Geraldine McGlocklin, Vernon Harden, Buncky Harden, LaRetha Harden-Black, Manuel Harden, and Marles Harden.
Surviving family members include a sister, Glenda Harden-Lancaster, and two daughters, Yvonne Elizabeth Johnson, and Lisa Renee' Holland-Langford, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Our mother lived a good and full life of 91 years. Not an easy life always, but we know she knew she was loved by us.
Although mom had been a resident of Palm Beach County since 1953, she grew up on a cotton farm in Southeast Missouri and was born into a loving and kind family, where she was taught old fashioned and wholesome values like having good character, the value of a loving and supportive family, and a very strong work ethic, which she passed on to her own children.
Our mother's passing is her much earned Glory, yet our sad loss, as she was the very best mother and woman anyone could ever ask for.
We love you Mom, and your passing is the ending of an era; an era of the Ole' Time Southern Style of long ago. We will miss you and your soft southern accent, so sweet, so kind, always gentle, like your kind and gentle soul.
You will be missed by many for a very long time after this day. But we will be with you again when our journey here too will be complete.
