She was born to her late parents, Aurelian and Lucy Cormier on May 2, 1930 in Welsh. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and making specialty pillows. Ida loved walking and spending time in the outdoors. She worked for Jennings American Legion Hospital as an LPN for many years, then ended up working for a Home Health company. She was very active and a faithful member in her church, and would sign language Hymns for the hearing impaired.
She is survived by her two brothers, Wilfred Cormier of Beaumont, Burley Cormier of Jennings; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Ida is preceded in death by her loving husband, Milton Ardoin; one son, Larry Ardoin; her parents; two sisters, Icy Smith, Ada Spinks; four brothers, Curley Cormier, Melvin Cormier, Buford Cormier, and Aurelian Cormier, Jr.
A Celebration of Ida Ardoin and Larry Ardoin's life will be at First Baptist Church in Welsh at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 20, 2021, with Bro. Pat Deshotel officiating.
