Ivon Savage Walk passed away in Edmond on June 8, 2020 at the age of 96. She was born July 14, 1923 to John Percy and Audrey King McMahan on the family farm outside of Healdton, OK. Ivon grew up in Healdton and attended school there. She played the French horn in the school marching band and graduated from Healdton High school on May 21, 1942. She was baptized at the age of 16 into the 1st Christian Church of Healdton and remained an active member, singing in the choir and serving as their choir director. Shortly after high school she met and married L. L. “Bill” Savage and they were married for 29 years. Ivon was a member of the Eastern Star, a homemaker and worked at the cosmetic counter at Hyde Drug. She loved gardening, canning, fishing, camping and traveling. After the death of her husband Bill in 1971, she married Clarence Walk on April 12, 1979 and they were together for 18 years until his death in 1997. Ivon was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, and 2 brothers, Don and Seldon McMahan. She is survived by her son Ron Savage and his wife Jackie of Yukon, Grandson Dean Savage and wife Amie of Mustang, grandson Jay Savage of Yukon, granddaughter Tammy Thonton of OKC, granddaughter Shawna Smith and husband Ethan of Meeker, cousin, Sylvia Grove and husband Ben of Chickasha, 7 great-grandchildren, Isaac Savage, Conner Savage, Alison Savage, Madison Smith, Easton Smith, Carlton and Christian Thonton as well as 5 step-children, Prissy Sellers, Julie Lee, Paula Litsey, Rick Walk and Terry Walk and many more grand and great grandchildren and a very loving extended family.
