Mary Anne Haley, age 89, lifelong resident of Flint, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Flint on August 13, 1930 the daughter of John and Marguerite (Roscoe) Haley. She attended Saint Mary’s Church and graduated from Saint Mary’s High School. Mary was a devout and lifelong Catholic. She worked at Fisher Body, Dr. Weber’s, and Saint Mary’s parish office for many years. She was active in choir, the food pantry, and religious education at Saint Mary’s. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Although she never married, she was a great aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She also loved football and was an avid Detroit Lions, Tigers, Notre Dame and MSU Spartans fan. She also loved going to Oscoda and making memories on the lake. Mary is survived by her brother, Jerome (Elaine) Haley; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Rita (Barry) Schlager, Jack (Barbara) Haley; niece, Blanche (Ron) Papke. Mary was a daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, great friend, and a lovely person. She will be missed every day. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint. Father Anthony Strouse celebrating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to mass, beginning at 10am at church. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Catholic Charities or The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
