He worked in the offshore oilfield industry as a production supervisor for ARCO. His hobbies included traveling, carpentry, storytelling, racecar driving, astronomy, painting, hunting, and fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Terry King.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Dickerson King; brother, Louis King and wife Freda; daughter, Tammy King Thompson and husband David; son, William King; daughter, Juliah King Crelia and husband Jeremy; uncle, Kenny King; seven grandchildren; and many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel officiated by Pastor Burl McBride. A small reception will follow at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches.
