Maedene was born January 29, 1959, in Montgomery County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Elmer Williams and Inez Palmertree Williams.
Maedene was the true epitome of the term “matriarch”. She lovingly cared for her family, for many years as a single mom, and her children grew to realize there was nothing she couldn’t accomplish. A gifted seamstress she crafted clothing for her children in their younger years, as well as created pageant dresses for contestants of competitions throughout the nation. She also enjoyed painting and ceramics, and even had her own kiln. Maedene’s home was always open to her children’s friends- she was everyone’s “Mama” and “Grandma”.
Upon hearing of her passing, many people made the same statement: “She was the strongest woman I ever met.” These words speak volumes about the character of Maedene Aaron, and her legacy of hard work and love and pride of family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Krystal Aaron.
Survivors include children, Jonathan Aaron, Brittany Aaron, Amanda Warren, and Jamie Aaron; siblings, Ted Williams, Jennifer Mills, Audrey Williams, William Wright, Timothy Wright, and Sheila Williams; a host of grandchildren; one great-grandchild and in a beautiful nod to the circle of life, her family learned on the day Maedene went home to Heaven that a second great-grandchild will soon arrive.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Memorial services will follow at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
