Clarence Walter Fulgham, age 79, of Helena, AL passed away June 22, 2020. Clarence was born in raised in Helena, AL. C.W. had a wonderful mother and father who taught him the most important skills in life to be hard working and to love God. He played football at Thompson High School. He also worked in the summer in construction with his uncle G.T. Kirkpatrick, this is where he focused and knew he wanted to follow in his path and continue on in construction. A dear friend Keith Campbell, let him build his first home and that was the beginning of a long business adventure. By word of mouth he was a well respected builder and man. He also served on the Helena City Council for 16 years, and was a member of the Helena Civitan Club. He was also an Elder of his church at Helena Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 25 years. C.W. had a successful career in construction for 50 years which included Commercial and residential. Clarence married his childhood sweetheart Frankie and together that had three sons whom he was very proud of. He loved watching Alabama football and was a big fan, he never missed a chance to route them on, last but not least he also loved his handsome cat "Saban".
C.W. is preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Edna Fulgham; sister, Sarah Alice Tingle; brothers, Cecil Andrew Fulgham, and Martis Joe Fulgham. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 61 years Frankie D. Smitherman Fulgham; sons, Keith Alan Fulgham (Debbie), Clinton Walter Fulgham (Ellen), Frank Eric Fulgham (Michelle); Sisters, Jeanie Jones, Glendal Gentry, and Kathy Braswell; grandsons, Keith Adam Fulgham (Natalie), Jacob Alexander Fulgham, Clinton Joshua Fulgham (Kristi), Blake Alexander Fulgham, (Alonia), Justin Kane Fulgham; Great-Grandchildren, Clinton Maxwell Fulgham, Eva Elizabeth Fulgham, Davis Ryne Fulgham, Jackson Rhys Fulgham, Holden Fulgham, Parker Fulgham. Visitation will be Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Helena City Cemetery.
