Mrs. Donna “Jill” (Flowers) Nash, of Newnan, Georgia passed away Tuesday, 23 June 2020, at 75 years old, after a long fought battle with congestive heart failure. She was born 3 March 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia, as the seventh of seven children, to the late Truman C., Sr., and Ada (Raiford) Flowers.
Jill enjoyed her family, collecting bird houses and tea cups, daily Bible devotions, avid book reader, get-togethers with her sisters and especially time with her four grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Fayetteville Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Judith O. Flowers and Betty J. Land; brothers, Truman C. “T. C.” Flowers, Jr. and Charles F. “Charlie” Flowers; brothers-in-law, T. Eugene “Gene” Newsome and Fred A. “Sonny” Land, Jr.; nephew, C. Sterling Flowers; niece, Debra J. Lackey; and her parents.
Jill is survived by her husband, David L. Nash (of 57 years); son, Charles (Charity) Nash of Newnan, Georgia; daughter, Kelly (Ed) Hinely of Newnan, Georgia; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Hinely, Reagan Hinely, Peyton Nash and Maggie-Lyn Nash, all of Newnan, Georgia; sisters, Greta Newsome of Cumming, Georgia, and Barbara (Kenneth) Hembree of Madison, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
