She was born in Owosso, Michigan on November 25th, 1949. Cecelia graduated from Central Michigan University and received a Bachelor of Science in Business and Education. She later worked towards and obtained a Master’s Degree from Michigan State University.
Cecelia dutifully dedicated herself to the students of Baker College where she passionately taught for 40 years before retiring. Throughout the years she educated her students in Shorthand, Typing, Computers, and Business Administration courses.
She took her passion for teaching in a different direction after she was saved and dedicated her life to educating herself and her peers in the word of God, and her faith carried through and grew exponentially to the moment of her passing.
Retiring to the open arms of the gracious community of Sugar Springs allowed her to socialize, adopt and maintain new “friends forever” through her “Sugarcise” crew, Book club, The Gadabouts and her bible study group where she both served as leader and student. She was an active and committed member of Gladwin Cornerstone Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters Elizabeth Burns (Richard) & Jennifer Face (Brian); and her son Jonathon Nuoffer (Jennifer). She was known as Grandma CeCe to her beloved grandchildren; Ella(12), Evelyn(9), Jackson(7), Mack(4), Ryker(4), Edward(2), Maverick (2) and Wallace(1).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Niels Clair Pearce and Willamae Levera Clark Pearce, and her dear sister, Charmaine Beers. (Nieces Debbie Rogers & Sara Shell)
