LeRoy Fox, age 86, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. He was born April 30, 1934 to Henry Sr. and Katherine (Lambert) Fox in Lincoln, Nebraska. He had 7 siblings: Alex, William, Mollie, Amelia, Henry, Pauline, and Clarice. He served in the Navy aboard a destroyer escort. He married Marilyn Hawkins on May 11, 1963. He worked numerous jobs in construction including bricklaying over the years and retired from the post office after 28 years of service.
LeRoy was a huge football and all around sports fan. He had a real soft spot for his dogs and would fuss over letting them out frequently and feeding them. LeRoy was known at the Top Hat for his pool playing skills, winning many tournaments. He was an avid bowler and could play a wicked poker game.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Renee Fox-Moore of San Juan Capistrano, California, Randy Fox and wife Amber of Lincoln, Nebraska; 3 grandchildren, Brayden Micheal Moore, and Samantha and Joshua Fox; sister, Clarice Siegrist of Roanoke, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life will take place 10:00 am July 9, 2020, Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S 14th St. Lincoln, NE 68512 and will be livestreamed to the public. A public inurnment will take place 11:00 am Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Lincoln Memorial Park. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brayden Michael Moore, Samantha and Josh Fox.
In lieu of flowers, memorial money will be sent to Lincoln Food Bank, People’s City Mission, and Hearts United for Animals in Auburn, Nebraska.
