BROOKWOOD – Danny David Holman, age 72, of Brookwood, Ala., died June 27, 2020, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Green Pond Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Curtis Holman, Sr.; mother, Mary M. Holman and brother, James Travis “J.T.” Holman.
Survivors include wife, Sandra Holman; daughter, Kristie (Erik) Zimmerman of Brookwood; sons, Curtis “Bud” Holman (Wendy) of Lincoln, Shane Holman (Brenda) of Peterson, Bobby Holman (Karen) of Caffee Junction and Kyle Boothe (Marcie) of Eoline; brother, Curtis Jr. Holman (Cheryl) of Millbrook; grandchildren, Curtis (Crystal), Karmen (Cody), Katie (Lane), Cassidy (Jon), Koleigh (Jarrett), Christian, Lindsey, Evin, Gauge, Brody, Mason, and Kaleb; and a whole mess of great-grandkids plus two more on the way.
Danny was born March 16, 1948 in Gordo, Ala., to Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Curtis Holman, Sr. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served two tours. He served 25 years as a Tuscaloosa Fireman. He loved Alabama football, fishing and the outdoors. He loved his children, grandkids and great-grandkids.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Holman, Jacob Holman, Curtis Holman, Cody Day, Lane Wells, Christian West, Jon Cavanaugh and Jarrett Mapes.
Honorary pallbearers are the Tuscaloosa Fire Department.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors.
