Barbara Jeanne Cook passed away peacefully in her home in Westlake Village on June 27, 2020. Barbara was the daughter of Lacy and Alice Reneau, born on April 1, 1932. She was born in San Bernardino, CA. She was the oldest of five children.
She and her three children were brought to Ventura by her loving husband, Ray Cook in 1959. A successful Framing Contractor, they both enjoyed a successful business in Ventura County before retiring in 2014. They poured their heart and souls into Mid-Coast Builders for 61 years.
Barbara loved golfing, bowling, and vacationing at her home away from home in Palm Desert, CA. She was exceptional at both sports. She bowled for years in Camarillo, CA but her first love was golfing in the desert. Their travels took them to many beautiful locations such as Hawaii, Mexico, Florida, and several cruises.
Barbara loved the hot weather in parts of California. She moved from Ventura to Camarillo to Westlake Village where she landed and spent the last 32 years.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Ray; daughter, Linda Henry of Ventura; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Rick Denger of Ventura; and son, Michel Cook of Newbury Park.
She also leaves behind grandson, Rick Henry; granddaughter, Jen Hale; grandson, Ryan Denger and wife Gina; grandson, Chris Denger and wife Laurie; granddaughter, Elisabeth Harris and husband Shawn, all of Ventura; granddaughter, Wendy Cook is from Santa Clarita, CA.
Barbara leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Steven, Sydni, Nicolette, Ricky, Katie, Avery, Taylor, Tessa, Talia and Duncan.
