Gary Lee Wheat, Jr., 47, of St. Ann, MO passed away suddenly June 25, 2020 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his mother, Leslie Wheat and his grandparents. Gary is survived by his children, Crysta Seibert and Key Wheat; father, Gary Wheat, Sr.; sister, Amy Burroughs; and niece, Alexis Burroughs. Gary also leaves behind numerous friends.
Gary graduated from Pattonville High School and completed basic training with the Army before deciding that the military wasn’t for him. He was a hard-working guy who made his living in the construction trade. He would work hard all week at his job and then had just as many side jobs to complete. His work ethic was strong and he was really hard on himself and critical of his work. Gary could be stubborn and head strong but his heart was gold. He loved children and was very supportive of them. He especially enjoyed spending time with his niece. Gary liked soccer and was a huge fan and supporter of St. Louis Blues hockey. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Friends may visit on Friday, July 3 from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. Due to COVID county mandate, the maximum capacity for the funeral home is 75 people and masks must be worn. Gary was a loved member of the community, so we ask that you offer condolences and then leave time for other guests to do the same. The service will be limited to 75 people. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association or to any charity supporting children. Please sign Gary’s guestbook at www.alexanderstlouis.com.
