Jean Kimberl Milton, 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in Mobile, Alabama. Born in Georgetown, South Carolina on April 4, 1930 to Carl Locklin Kimberl Sr. and Clara Estelle O’Neil Kimberl, Jean actually spent her childhood in Charleston. She was a charter member of the National Honor Society at Murphy High School, and she and her late husband were founding members of St. Monica Catholic Church here in Mobile. She was the Executive Assistant to CMA Rogers the III at AmSouth Bank for nearly twenty years. Jean was an outstanding wife and mother, and will be greatly missed.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Tarzan” Francis Milton; her parents; brothers, Carl Locklin Kimberl Jr. and Richard Theis Kimberl; and one sister, Lellage Claire Kimberl Shipman.
She is survived by her sons, Paul (Karen) Milton and Michael (Pamela) Milton; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
