Francis Paul Wyland, 95, of Plano, Texas, passed away on July 22, 2020. He was born in Arcade, New York on December 6, 1924 to Margarite and Zeno Hyland. He graduated from Arcade Central High School, and later married his wife, Elma on December 31, 1950.
Francis was as a Staff Sargent in the US Army, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He later had a career in the Automotive industry at the Supervisory Level for General Motors, Chevrolet Gear & Axle, Hamtramck, Michigan. He was a member of the Legion of Honor Azan Temple in Titusville, Florida, the 32nd Degree Indian River Masonic Lodge #90 of Titusville Florida, and the Shriners. Francis was also a Founder and Charter member of AA and NA facilities in Titusville, Florida, and was also a member of the American Legion. He had a passion for traveling and fishing.
Francis is survived by his daughter; Sharon Bennett (Dennis), his sons; Joseph Wyland (Mary Schmieder), Paul Wyland (Lisa Perry), Daniel Wyland (Cindy), his grandchildren; Kristen Williams (Chuck), Kathryn Bennett (Natalie Warren), Erin Birdsong (John), Emily Armour (Hunter), Joshua Wyland (Ramona), and Alex Wyland. He is also survived by his great grandchildren; Caitlin Jarvis (Dylan), Chase Williams, Cori Williams, Sydney Birdsong, Meredith Bennett, Henry Armour, Hadley Wyland, Tansey Wyland, and Everett Wyland, great great grandchildren; Chip Williams, Levi Williams, Annie Miller, Gavin Jarvis, Braylee Jarvis, and Landon Jarvis, and his sister; Rita Hyland-Curtis. His is preceeded in death by his brother; Joseph Hyland.
