Bonnie Rae Coldiron was born on March 10, 1931 in Ohio. On July 23rd, 2020 she transitioned from her earthly life of 89 years to her eternal life with her Heavenly Father. She was a beautiful, kind, compassionate, intelligent, engaging, fun, and loving woman of faith.
She was married 67 years to the love of her life, Jim, and is now with him forever, in paradise. She also joined her son (Randy), mom (Lou), dad (Ray), sister (Juanita), brother-in-law (Leroy), niece (Robin), and brother-in-law (Jerry) in their celestial home. She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Sandy and Gary, son and his wife, Steve and Jane, and son, Tim. She is also survived by her grandson and his wife and children, Matthew, Kelly, Jackson and Parker, her granddaughter, Stephanie, grandson, Jonathan and best friend, Grace.
She truly was a faithful follower of Jesus and was the ultimate example of what it means to be a Christian. She dedicated her life to loving God and serving Him with all her heart. Her godliness led many to the Lord. Her favorite Bible verse was “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” 1 John 3:1
She loved her family dearly and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was deeply loved by her family and treasured every moment she spent with them.
She loved being a minister’s wife. She also enjoyed the years she spent as a church secretary, Sunday school teacher, and Bible study leader. She was always surrounded by her Bibles and many devotional books that she kept next to her chair in the family room and by her bed, for easy access. She loved God’s Word.
She never sought the spotlight, but was content putting her love into action behind the scenes, without any need for praise or glory. She was the ultimate example of a life of integrity and utmost excellence. You could often hear her say, “if it is worth doing, it is worth doing right.”
She was an avid sports fan with her favorites being football, basketball, and track/field. She loved watching and talking about sports with her husband, sons, and grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Her favorite hymn was “Victory in Jesus” and she genuinely lived a life that was victorious with Jesus.
VICTORY IN JESUS
I heard an old, old story,
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
And won the victory.
Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.
I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory.
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
And the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there
The song of victory.
