Chester Marty Warnock, 83, of Portland, OR, passed away on July 21st in Vancouver, WA. Born to Chester Leid Warnock and Seville Marty on May 22, 1937 in Pendleton, OR. He is survived by his brother Fred Warnock; son Robert Warnock; daughter Kari Conner; grandsons Brian Conner, Kyle Conner, Steven Conner, and Jason Conner; and great- grandson Leo Conner.
Chester graduated Pendleton High School in 1955; and later graduated Oregon State University 1959 with a Bachelors in Business Administration, and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He enjoyed summers at the Pendleton Round-Up working in the first-aid group, and performing in the Happy Canyon Show. His fondest memories during that time include playing French horn in the 1957 Rose Parade and Rose Bowl marching band.
Chester married Judith Carol Payne in 1960 and worked for Grain Growers in Pendleton, OR; as well as Pacific Finance in Kellogg, ID, before moving to Portland, OR in 1965 to work for Hampton Lumber. He retired in 1999 after 34 years in lumber sales. Golf was his passion, and he was a member of Willamette Valley Country Club for 30 years. He was on several house committees, served as a board member, and was president for one year. He lived for 22 years in Charbonneau where he was a board member and president of the HOA.
Visitation services for Chester Warnock will be held from 1pm to 3pm on Friday, July 31st at Skyline Memorial Gardens.
