It is with profound sadness the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Hayden on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the age of 15 years. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his grandparents who raised him: Mary-Lou Sager and Wayne Brace. Survived by his parents Tina Marie Turner and John Meagher. Dear brother of Emma, Sheala, Patrick, Josh, Jacob, Josh, and John. Cherished nephew of Eileen and Nelson Gillingham, Todd Turner and Mary-Lou "Luanne" Turner. Cousin of Ahmed, Layla, Omar, Bilil, DJ and Crystal. Fondly remembered by Judy and Dee Jekinsjan, Jamie and Jennifer Jekinsjan, Michelle and Steve Cowell, Steven, Isaac, and Jamie. Survived by his great uncle Dennis Sager. Predeceased by his great-grandparents MaryLou and Harry Sager and his grandparents Sally and John Meagher Sr.
Hayden attended Briardale School and loved video games and riding his scooter. He was full of life and laughter and had a great sense of humour. In general, he was just a wonderful person to be around and had a way of lighting up the day.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave. (905-354-5614) from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Please understand that with Covid 19 regulations, the number of people permitted within the building at any given time is capped at 30% capacity. Your visit will be limited and you may be required to wait outside until a funeral home staff instructs you into the building. Face coverings are mandatory to enter the building. The last visitors through will be at 3:30 p.m. A private Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 4 p.m. that is limited to family only. We will be live streaming the service on the funeral home Facebook page for those who cannot attend (direct link provided in the service information below). Cremation will follow. If desired, memorial donations made to Portage – Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Program for Ontario Youth would be appreciated by the family and may be done through the funeral home or through the link on the funeral home webpage.
