He was preceded in death by his parents, George Marion Breeden Jr. and Margaret Bynum Breeden, and his parents-in-law, Charles and Barbara Simmons.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Simmons Breeden; his sons, Alex Breeden (Joy) and David Breeden (Michelle); three grandsons, Charlie, Sam, and Liam Breeden; his brother, George Breeden III (Julie); several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Bill was a 1970 graduate of Anniston High School and a 1975 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science. He worked as a manager of Charlie’s Quality Food in Anniston for 8 years. He was employed by Alfa as an insurance agent in Anniston for 31 years. Upon his retirement, he spent most of his free time on his cattle farm in Lincoln, where he enjoyed working on his land and caring for his many animals.
Per Bill’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. The family wishes to thank the many friends who loved Bill so well. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations in Bill’s memory to the League for Animal Welfare in Anniston or The Wounded Warrior Project.
