Janet Lee Mettey

Janet was born December 3, 1962 in St. Louis, MO. Her family moved to Katy, TX in 1976.

She is a 1981 graduate of Katy High School and has worked in the mortgage industry for

35 years, the last 12 years with Envoy Mortgage, LTD in Mortgage Origination.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Teresa Anderson,

her brother, Lt Col (Retired) James Anderson and sister, Lisa Poteet.

She enjoyed her family and would always be up for a get together. Whether it was for a holiday or just burgers, beer & a competitive game of washers in the backyard or a spirited game of cards, Janet would be there. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed all sports at all levels. She especially enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews participate in sports. She also enjoyed attending monster jams.

Janet was a loving wife, devoted daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Troy A. Mettey, and stepson,

Aaron Mettey (Lindsey).

Brothers: Joe Anderson, John Anderson (Wanda), Jerry Anderson (Cheryl),

Richard Anderson (Sandy), Robert Anderson (Yvette), Roger Anderson (Heather).

Sisters: Nina Healy, Jean O’Brien (Tim)

Sister-in-Law: Karen Anderson and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Janet’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Memorial Hermann Hospital-Katy as they worked diligently, compassionately and with great professionalism to make her final days as comfortable as possible.

A vigil service for Janet will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 6:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, Katy, TX 77494.

A memorial mass will occur Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Epiphany Of The Lord Catholic Church, 1530 Norwalk Dr, Katy, TX 77450. Followed by a Graveside Service at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Rd. Houston, TX 77077.
