Lawrence "Larry" Sears Jr. 54, of Manchester Township passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Monday, July 27th, 2020. Larry was born in Homestead, Florida, to parents Lawrence Sears Sr. and Joyce Broughton on September 20th, 1965. As a small child Larry moved with his family to Lakehurst, NJ where he grew up and attended Manchester High School where he played soccer. At the age of 17, Larry felt the desire to serve his community and became an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He went on to become a member of Manchester First Aid and Ridgeway Fire Company. Upon graduating high school, Larry entered the US Army; serving 3 plus years. After his service with the Army, Larry returned to his home town of Lakehurst and gained employment with SAS Ambulance service and later on Quality Medical Transport. In 1999, Larry and his wife Cynthia moved to Manchester Twp. Three years later, they had a daughter of their own (Krystal Sears). He remained here until his passing. Larry although he got much enjoyment and fulfillment being an EMT and firefighter, his true passion was auto racing and his family. He was a kind loving man who loved both his job and family more than anything. Larry attended many racing events with his family at New Egypt raceway park, Wall Stadium, and ATCO raceway. He also enjoyed watching football, especially when the Dallas Cowboys were playing; he was a big fan. Larry leaves behind his wife of 16 years, Cynthia Sears, step-father, Richard Herrick, mother, Joyce Black, brother, Matthew Herrick, sister, Michelle Pabst, children: Michelle Rector, Lawrence Snyder, Lawrence Sears III, Heather Sears, Stephen Sears, Jason Mount, and Krystal Sears. He was predeceased by father, Lawrence Sears Sr. Visitation for Larry will be on Friday, July 31st, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd, Manchester. Due to the covid pandemic, face masks must be worn and strict social distancing guidelines will be adhered to.
