Marsha Ann Klimkoski, 70, of Del City, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on July 26, 2020. Services have been entrusted to the care of Advantage Funeral Service and a celebration of her life will be held at 2pm on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Resthaven Memory Gardens in S. OKC.
Marsha was born on December 7, 1949 in OKC to Joseph and Roberta (Wriston) Klimkoski. She was raised in the OKC area and remained there her entire life. Marsha was born with severe Cerebral Palsy and spent more than 40 years living at the Reliant Living Center in Del City. Marsha loved being there and the staff and residents loved her. Many of the staff considered her to be the best part of the day and her room was often their first stop after they clocked in. Among Marsha’s favorite phrases were “You’re fired” and “you’re getting a $2 raise,” often within a few minutes of each other. The family has heard countless tales of Marsha’s kindness and witty personality and how it motivated them daily.
As a child, Marsha loved spending time with her family and friends and she relished the chance to take piggyback rides around the yard with her dad or getting her favorite ice cream. Anytime someone came to visit, she always asked “What did you bring me”, as her favorite holiday was Christmas and everyday was Christmas to Marsha. She also enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music, doing arts and crafts, and getting a hamburger, hot dog, and diet coke.
Marsha was a loving woman with a big heart and she found joy and wonder in the small things. She was truly an angel and she made an unmistakable mark on the lives of those she touched. Marsha will certainly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Roberta Klimkoski, as well as a sister Joelyn Stills. She is survived by her three siblings: Steven Klimkoski and wife Cheryl, Karen Chadwell and husband Michael, and Susan Scott; four nieces and nephews: Joseph Klimkoski, Jayme Klimkoski, Amy Ciccone, and Angie Stills; as well as numerous other beloved family members.
The family wishes to thank the amazing staff at the Reliant Living Center for the wonderful care and outpouring of love they have shown Marsha over the past forty years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reliant Living Center in Marsha’s name.
