As a child, Marlene spent many happy hours with her grandparents, Alma and Ernie Heggs.
She moved to Calgary, Alberta as a teen and spent most of her adult years living in and around Water Valley, Cremona and Sundre. Her time spent living at the condo in Sundre was some of the best times in her life. There she made many friends and had a lot of good times. Marlene enjoyed doing a multitude of crafts and babysat many children for several years, many of whom called her grandma.
In the last couple of years, Marlene was very happy to spend her time with her partner Bob Hunter (her friend of over 50 years) and his family John, Jeff (Amanda), and James in Mallaig, Alberta.
Her partner Bob Hunter; children: Dale (Rebecca) Catudal, Laurie (Richard) Campbell, Crystal (Paul) Janzen; step-son Shane (Tanya); grandchildren, Chelsey, Jordan, Jacob, Caitlin, Leah, and Jesse; great grandchildren Abby, Evie, Griffin, and Freya; sister Jean (Garry) Hofseth, Brother Don (Sheree) Toner; brother Dave (Dawne) Toner; sister-in-law Leona as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Elmer and Elizabeth Toner, her brother Jim and husband Roy Rothery.
At Marlene’s request, no service will be taking place.
Marlene will be missed by her family.
