He is preceded in death by his mothers, Laura and Anna Munro; his father, Lindon Munro; and his brothers, Roland and Robert Munro.
He left high school at age 15 after his mother died to take of his brothers. Don was machinist for 50 years in the auto industry and retired at age 75. He loved working. He was a member of Elks Lodge 71 for over 20 years, where he was a Loyal Knight three times. While an Elk he enjoyed visiting the VA hospital, working bingo, and most of all being one of the Jolly Boys - which meant doing the yard work. His only hobbies were working in the yard and doing dishes. He was an usher at St. Michael the Archangel in Garland for 20 years.
Don is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rose Munro; one brother; three sisters; his children, Margaret, Donald, and Michael Munro, and Mark, Steve, and Chris Michalowski; six grandchildren, Dalton, Cody, Connor, and Caitlyn Munro and Brandon and Carson Michalowski; and 2 great-grandchildren.
