She briefly attended Bridgewater College in Virginia before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1951 from the Johns Hopkins Hospital school of Nursing.
Miss Moore met her future husband, Dr. Thomas Clement while he was a student at University of Maryland Dental School and she a nursing student. Dr. Clement was commissioned a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps just before graduation from dental school.

After twenty years in Baltimore, they moved their dental practice to Woodbine, Maryland where they continued to practice for another twenty-six years until retirement in 2000. Mrs. Clement moved with her husband from their Woodbine home in September of 2009 to Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville.
Mrs. Clement was a longtime member of the Brantley Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as chairman of the Women’s Missionary Union. She enjoyed traveling and gardening and was a very talented seamstress, making many of her dresses and suits. She immensely enjoyed the family’s summer beach vacations with her children and grandchildren on the Outer Banks, a tradition that lasted twenty years.
