Lillian graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, Tennessee, and went on to pursue further education at Michigan State University. She had many interests which led her into various industries including Health Care and Service. Lillian retired from the Greyhound Bus Station in Memphis, Tennessee, where she was adored by customers and colleagues alike.
Lillian came to know the One True God Jehovah at a young age, and she spent many years studying to become a baptized Jehovah’s Witness. In recent years, she became an avid student, making great strides and progress as a member of the Oakhaven Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She demonstrated her desire to serve Jehovah through regularly attending Kingdom Hall meetings and conventions, engaging in field service, as well as helping others to come to know Jehovah. Lillian was firmly convinced of the Bible’s promise of the resurrection to a paradise earth with no more sickness, death, or sorrow.
Lillian, who was affectionately known by family and friends as “Misty Blue”, spent her life being a light to others. She was a warm, kind-hearted, fun-loving, affectionate person who loved to talk and never met a stranger. She could light up any room with her infectious personality and smile.
Lillian was preceded in death by her father, Murray Langston White, and brother, Stephen Conner. She is survived by her mother, Tommi Glenn Conner; daughter, Toni Lynn Richardson; sisters, Rheba Dortch (Horace Dortch) and Rachel Conner; grandchildren, Alicia Williams, Akia Wicks (Alvin Wicks), Nathaniel Venson, Alexis Wicks, Cameron Wicks and Aryn Wicks; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members, as well as three of her most cherished friends, Linda Brewer, John Johnson, and Marvin Newsome.
