Cleveland Brown was born on June 22, 1949 to parents Horatio Brown Sr. and Agatha Brown. He grew up as a child in Middle Buxton, St Ann, Jamaica with his parents and nine siblings, and later married Phyllis Brown. As a young adult, he worked at Max Print Ltd. for 22 years. He later migrated to Florida where he worked with Jim Oliver Construction Company, and Boca Regional Hospital. He was very industrious and hardworking, and did not hesitate to carry out quite a few additional jobs,(like being a new driver instructor, and an avid agriculturalist). He certainly had a green thumb, and was always ready and willing to give gardening advice or render a helping hand to anyone who needed it. No matter where he lived, he took great pride and care in his lawn and overall surroundings, (much to the admiration of friends and family). He often times received numerous compliments for his handiwork and creativity. He always took pleasure in fixing, making or reviving most things around the house, as he drew experiences from his various areas of employment. Also, he was an excellent cook, and never hesitated to make us our traditional meals.
His son Oliver Brown and Loving Brother Spencer Brown preceded him in death, Cleveland is survived by his precious memories: Wife: Phyllis Brown, Children: Claudia Chang, Sheldon Brown, Carlston Brown and Michael Brown; Grandchildren: Taylor Smith-Brown, Taryn Brown, Lanyse Brown, Cairo Michael Brown, Jordan Chang and Nicholas Chang; Great Grandchild: Journi McFadden; Son-in Law: Wayne Chang; Sisters: Mavis West, Lynette Brown, Delrose Stewart, Tatlyn Brown, Veronica Tait, and Erica Brown; Brothers: Horatio Brown II, Narval Brown; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of family and friends.
He is gone, but will never be forgotten, he will always live on in our hearts.
