Mary Ann Hall, 76, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, August 20, 2020, after a difficult battle with Covid-19. Ann was born February 15, 1942 in Corvallis, Oregon. She attended Texarkana College before meeting her husband, Dave Hall, who died December 12, 2012. After taking care of her four children, she worked for several years as a dispatcher for the Texarkana Police Department. When her mother, Margaret Horton, had a stroke in 1980, Ann quit work and moved her family into her parents’ home to provide care for her mother until Margaret died on May 14, 1989. She then continued to care for her father, W. B. Horton, until his death on July 15, 2011. She spent 31 years caring for her parents.
Survivors include her children, daughter and daughter-in-law, Barbara Hall and Amanda Linn of Little Rock, AR, daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Eddie Fyock of Texarkana, TX, sons and daughter-in-law, David and Marti Hall of Texarkana, TX, and Scott Hall of Texarkana, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Cindi Jones-Horton of San Marcos, TX, and sister Lynda Gates of Gig Harbor, WA; grandchildren, Jared Fyock of Ashdown, AR, Anthony Bean of Texarkana, TX, Nickie Hall of Texarkana, AR, Stephanie Brooks of Maud, TX, Dylan Hall of Texarkana, TX, Ashleigh Hall of Texarkana, TX and Briannah Hall of Texarkana, and 6 great-grandchildren.
A graveside celebration of Ann’s life will be held 11am Saturday, August 29, at the Honeysuckle Rose Arbor 3 at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, 826 N. Kings Hwy, at 11:00 a.m. Please, in light of the suffering we have known from Covid 19 and to help stop the spread, wear a mask and be prepared to social distance.
Donations may be made to one of Ann’s favorite charities, Randy Sams Outreach Shelter, Inc., in Texarkana, TX.
