Barbara Branch Jordan, 85, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. A proud graduate of Leon High School, Barbara could walk across the street from her childhood home on what was a red clay Miccousukee Rd. to attend her alma mater.
Barbara retired from the State of Florida, Dept. of Highway Safety, with over 30 years of dedicated service. She spoke very highly of "her" Highway Patrol Troopers, like family, as well as friends.
Barbara was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and later, Morningside Baptist Church. Her Sunday School Class and "Silver Saints" gave her much joy with many dear friends. Barbara will always be remembered by her kindness and sweet nature.
She is survived by her husband, James M. Jordan; son, Jimmy Jordan and wife, Ginger; special niece Judy Kuhnle who was always like a daughter to her; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend Eunice Bragg. She was proceeded in death by her parents Willie Mae Joyner Branch and Jehu Branch; sister Betty Branch Gramling, and brother W. Kenneth Branch.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Barbara's name may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
Very special thanks to her loving caregivers Leigh Tyler, Allison Grove, Juana Powell; and our Big Bend Hospice angels Brenda, Barry and Tracy.
