Curtis had a lifelong love for learning. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Queens College, Syracuse University and the University of South Carolina. He enjoyed a career as a consulting geologist in soil and material engineering.
Not only did Curtis love to study rocks and nature, he also had a passion for history and visiting museums. His family and friends will miss the trivia games he coined "Feats of Knowledge".
Curtis also enjoyed going to beer festivals, and scotch and whiskey tastings. To add to his academic accolades, he had fun earning his PhD at Taco Mac's Brewniversity. He was not only an avid Yankees and South Carolina Gamecocks fan, but also knowledgeable in sports history. Curt's uniquely interesting and fun loving personality enabled him to make friends everywhere he traveled, many of which became lifelong close friendships.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Donna Alexander and her husband, Michael; niece Krysten; nephew Justin and his wife, Tiffany; and niece Kaytlin and her fiancé, Erik and great-nephews and nieces, Brooklyn, Grayson, Aiden and Avalyn.
