Myrna was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Florence Grimme and husband Thomas A. Hadley. Myrna is survived by her twin brother Myron, her brother Alan (Wendy), her sister Mary Ann Grimme-Epps (Robert) & sister Beckey Grimme-Kramer (Raymond). She is also survived by sons Michael and wife Holly, David and wife Pauline and Mark and wife Robin. Myrna also had grandchildren Meg, Anna, Sofia and Thomas.
Myrna was born March 15, 1945 in Prarie du Chien, Wisconsin. She was married in 1966 to Thomas A, Hadley in Davenport, Iowa. They had three sons while residing in Davenport. They wound up moving to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where they lived until 1988. While living in Cedar Rapids, Myrna was not just a housewife. She was President of Newcomers which was an organization that helped familiarize families new to the area. She was also very active with the church youth groups and Sunday school at Peace Lutheran Church.
Eventually Myrna and Tom were both diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. That was the primary reason they moved to Englewood, Florida in 1987. Myrna stayed very active with church youth groups. She started Sun Fun Sunday kids at Community Presbyterian church in Englewood. She also started her own successful cleaning business. Myrna loved kids and they loved her. Throughout her entire life she would be surrounded by children. Whether it was after school, after church, or any other time she always was surrounded by kids.
Myrna will always be remembered for her kindness and generous spirit. She will forever be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and mentor. No one will ever forget her fantastic cooking and especially her huge batches of baking during the holidays.
Myrna will have a funeral at Lemon Bay Funeral Home September 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. She will then be taken to Gulf Pines Memorial where she will be reunited with her husband the late Thomas Hadley.
