Audrey Jane Hargis Osborn, 82 of Austin, died Sunday September 6, 2020 at South Park Meadows Rehabilitation Center in Austin. She was born October 16, 1937 in Smithville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Ruth Rosanky of Smithville; her two husbands, Robert Theodore (Ted) Hargis and Benjamin (Ben) Arnold Osborn; two sons, Gary Dean Hargis and Michael Edward Hargis.
Audrey is survived by her two, sons, James Wayne Hargis and wife, Bonnie of Lewisville TX and Robert Carroll Hargis of Lafayette, LA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steven Hargis and wife Jill and their children, David Hargis and wife, Wendy and their daughter, Jason Hargis and his children , Jessica Richard and husband Kelly and their children, Michael Skipper (dec'd) and wife, Melissa and their children. In addition three step-sons, Jeff Osborn and wife Robin and their children and granchildren, Terry Osborn and wife, Tori and their children, and Lance Osborn.
Audrey was a long term resident of Austin and retired from the IRS. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzler. She loved entertaining and supporting her family. Audrey will be sorely missed by us all.
Visitation 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home 2620 South Congress with Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery - Manchaca, Texas.
Currently, due to the substantial public risk, city and state government mandates that social gatherings of limited amounts may occur with strict social distancing protocol. Current COVID protocols for Travis County, guests must wear protective masks at all times while inside the funeral home facility and practice the recommended six foot social distancing.
