Jacqueline (Jackie) Davis was born on February 22, 1944 to Willie Tolbert and Cleo Stevenson in Benham, KY. Jackie received her formal education through Lynch Public Schools where she enjoyed being a majorette.
Jackie accepted Christ as her Savior with First Baptist Church in Lynch, KY where she was Baptized at an early age.
Jackie dedicated herself to her husband, her children, and her home where she often loved to entertain family and friends. She was also very active in her children’s schools where she was a contributing member of the Parent Teacher Association and a fundraiser for field trips. Her grandkids were her pride and joy and as a grandmother she was often involved with taking care of them as she did her own.
Jackie was the type of person that was genuine and never bit her tongue yet she cared for many people, including her neighbors. On any occasion, she brought life, spice and laughter to those around her. She enjoyed going to the casino from time to time and loved dancing to Motown R&B music which she did during her last days.
Jackie is survived by her Husband Thornton Davis, her children Michelle Davis and Lamont Davis (Jennifer Davis), Grandsons Ishan Allen and Christian Davis, Sister Dorothy Tolbert, Brothers Jack Tolbert, Donald Tolbert, Jerry Tolbert, Bill Tolbert and a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives.
