I only knew you Jason,  through your dear friends, Sarai and Rebecca.  Though I no longer live in Pensacola I traveled there one day, went by your shop to meet you but unfortunately you were not there so I never met you.  Your memory lives on through the kind, loving words all your many friends post of you.  What a very special person you must have been.  It is with deep sadness, though I never met you, that my heart is so heavy for your family and friends who must live on without your physical presence.  You were so dearly loved.  Paula White

Still can’t believe this. I’d be lying if I said otherwise. There will be something missing at shows.  The “I feel old” color conversations  and best of all harmless “yermom”  joke battles, synchronicity and “jinx! You owe me a coke!” You helped me stay sober at times where it seemed impossible. 

Thank GOD! I’m grateful we talked not long ago. You made a difference to many Jason. People actively made life choices for the better because of your truth, love and kindness and we all will remember the most GINORMOUS HUGS EVER! 

You are loved. You were loved. Always loved. I hope you felt that in the depths you selflessly gave it out to all. Love you homie. I’m grateful you have peace. See you on the other side. 

I’ve spent the past 2 weeks enjoying my memories of you, and being sad at there not being anymore to be made. We get to gather tomorrow to say our goodbyes to you, but I know you’re still here. I know you always will be, through the ones who loved you and you loved so well.

Jason, your  words of inspiration, hope and kindness were invaluable to me.   How I loved watching you find humor in so many little moments... the way your eyes would light up and sparkle when you were talking about your art!  You are, and always will be,  sorely missed, my friend.    see you on the other side.....

Jason showed up in everyone's life with something to offer,  and we are all better for it. His gifts were inclusivity, encouragement and a hearty laugh. I'm sure that Jason coined the term "Taco Tuesday", but will never get credit. 
I thought I was the only person that Jason made feel special by looking them in the eye & telling them that they were a good person. Thats just the way Jason made everybody feel. Jasons superpower was the way he made people feel about themselves & his impact on the recovery community will be felt for years to come. 

I can't believe I'm here, writing this to you, Jason. I'm so grateful after 6 years of social media contact (in those first years almost daily!!) I FINALLY got to be face to face and get the biggest bear hug. You are a master hugger!! First in LA then 2 weeks later I flew to Kansas and got to learn hair stuff from you but most of all, hear you share your story and your heart. I'm SO glad you joined us girls for dinner that night in LA. We were a real family in our hearts but never face to face!! That HAD to happen and did, thank God! I adore you, love. The only man I've ever known kinder than you is Jesus Christ Himself. Being there with you will be amazing, Sweet One. ❤❤❤

One of my earliest childhood memories is playing in Papa and Grandma’s backyard, jumping off of Tiger’s doghouse. You split your shorts and turned them into a skirt. We all laughed until we cried.  

You are the first of the cousins to go, and you aren’t supposed to be gone yet, Jason. You just aren’t. I pray you are finally able to see the good you brought to this world. I pray you are finally able to see you did have a purpose in being here. I pray you finally see how very loved you were. And most of all, I pray your soul is finally at peace. 

If no one has told you today...you were a good man! I’ll carry you in my heart & Ill see you in the stars 

Jason was a wonderful person,  he was full of love and he shared it . . You will be so missed..

In a world that seems to be growing harder & meaner, Jason was an example of seeing the best in it. He was such an imposing figure that at first I made the mistake of being intimidated by him. It only took one conversation to realize that he exuded hope & kindness; he was the kind of person I wanted to be more like.

Oh Jason, I am just completely heartbroken that you are no longer here with us. You and I have been friends for a very long time. I will miss your smiling face, positive attitude, and twisted sense of humor that only people with the same sense of humor would understand. I hope you knew just how much you were loved. I've read the beautiful comments left on your Facebook page, and this memorial page. So many people loved you, but honestly what's not to love? You were a beautiful soul!!! Thank you for all the laughs, for the talks, for being such a great friend. You always made me feel special, especially with your one of a kind saying.... "If no one has told you today, you're a great woman"....... I will never forget you, and I'll cherish our friendship forever 😰

Oh, Jason. The world still needed you. Thank you for all the kindness and good energy you shared. We weren’t ready to let you go. 

I absolutely loved Jason . He was such an amazing guy and was always there to brighten the room and put smiles on everyone . He will dearly be missed . ❤️

There are no words for the love of Jason McDonald.  There is only light.  A lantern ray of loving sunshine and inspiration for so many of us who remain in the dark.  Jason was my friend above all other things~ He brought life to my heart and soul, as he did with so many others.  An angel from earth, I used to call him.  He helped those who were trying to do good things.  He loved my daughter Victoria so very much, and blessed her and I with magical new hairdo's when neither of us had the money, and he knew we could never pay him back.  An angel in heaven he is now- And who can blame God when he was such an amazing soul, and he was called to help Him.  I know I can't, I only wish there were more time to tell him just how special I think he is.  Somehow I feel as though he already knows just how much he was loved and cherished by so many.  I can still hear his laugh when I close my eyes, and the way he would hum a tune while working on hair.  What a free spirit his soul was, and forever shall be.  I love you Jason McDonald ❣️. May you dwell in the house of the Lord for evermore...

Jason always held a special place in my heart, a place that is feeling empty right now.  He was an amazing person and I am wishing you all the comfort during this difficult time.
