David passed away at home on August 13th, 2020, surrounded and held by his family. He is survived by his sister, Deborah Craven Tuten of Hanahan, S.C.; his brother, Stephen K. Craven and wife Jan, of Goose Creek, S.C.; his beloved nieces, Heather M. Sebring of Hanahan, S.C., and Camela Craven LeBlanc and her husband, Craig of Greenville, S.C.; his loving grand-nieces, Julianna, Jillian, Jeslynn and Jaida Sebring, all of Hanahan, S.C.; an Aunt, Kaye Morrow and her husband Linwood of North Charleston, S.C., and many other family members throughout Florida.
He was a graduate of R.B. Stall High School and an Army Veteran who was extremely proud of serving his country. He was an avid golfer and devoted Clemson fan. He loved all racing but especially NASCAR, and had an unbelievable ability with mechanics. He loved helping anyone who needed it, never thinking of himself first. He loved life and loved living it with his many friends.
His family wishes to thank the many calls, texts, and contacts through Facebook with condolences. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to the “1st Tee” Association, so that more children can learn about golf, how to play the game, the etiquette of the game and the incredible lifelong friendships it can bring. Donations may also be made to Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, which also took his father.
His family also wishes to thank Pruitt Hospice who responded immediately to an emergent and unplanned need. They were incredible in their care and concern.
Interment will occur at Carolina Memorial Gardens, Valor Ground, September 14th, 2020 at 4:00 PM. Remembrances of David and his life will be present. There will be no service and friends are invited to celebrate David’s life at Sapphires after the interment ceremony.
