Nicholas was born on November 14, 1930, and grew up in Taunton, MA. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1952 with a degree in Economics and subsequently worked for many years in New York City at Kennecott Copper and Bronx Lebanon Hospital in the area of Human Resources. He retired after working for FedEx at 83 years old. Nicholas was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sparta, loved reading historical non-fiction, was an avid snow skier in his younger years, and enjoyed sailing on Lake Hopatcong and Lake Michigan.
Nicholas was diagnosed at the age of 11 with Type-1 Diabetes and was one of the longest survivors of the disease without any major complications. He was awarded a medal 4 years ago by Joslin Diabetes Center, on the 75th anniversary of his diagnosis. Posthumously, he graciously donated tissue to help aid research of Type-1 Diabetes.
Nicholas is survived by his beloved wife Carole (Nash) Bradley of 51 years, his daughter Meredith Bradley Messing, son-in-law Blaine Messing, granddaughter Jaden Messing (10), and daughter Caroline Bradley Contrini, son-in-law Craig Contrini, and granddaughters, Cora Contrini (4) and Chloe Contrini (2). He was predeceased by his older brother Tudor Bradley.
