Chuck is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol and brother Steven Kohn of Peoria, Il., Sisters in-law Marilyn Kohn of Peoria and Jean Simon of Honolulu, Hawaii, his Niece Lauren Kohn of Peoria and Nephew David Kohn, wife Rachel and great niece Arden of Scottsdale AZ. and Cousin Karen Kaiz of Northbrook, Il.
Chuck was a life long Chicagoan born to Joseph and Fanny Kohn on January 29, 1945. They preceeded him in death. Throughout his life he had several careers including General dynamics, MF Bank, Dominick’s Grocery. Chuck was a joiner and had many memberships in organizations over the years. However, his real passions rested with his Masonic Lodge And Eastern Star Chapter as well as his membership in Congregation Agudath Jacob.
Chuck was a Master Mason with Chicago Lodge 437 where he was an member for 41 years and active with group’s York Rite Commanders. He was also a 37 year member of Eastern Star Chapter 1015 along with wife Carol. For the last 10 years Chuck was the Chapter Chaplain.
Chuck and Carol enjoyed traveling to various meetings and conferences with these two organizations and were very active and had many friends they met over the years. Chuck will be buried beside his parents at Menorah Gardens Cemetery. “Thus ends the record of a Just and Upright Mason. May his soul Rest In Peace”
Donations can be made in Chucks name to Skokie Valley Congregation Agudath Jacob, The Eastern Star Peace Garden, or Shriners Children’s Hospital, or to a Charity of your choice.
