Anastacio Aguilar Ayala (Don Tacho, or Tacho as he was known) was born in Tácambaro, Michoacan February 02, 1936 to Anastacio and Josefa Aguilar. Our Lord Jesus called Dad home on Sunday, September 13, 2020 with his wife, Rosa and his son, Carlos by his side. He passed peacefully and painlessly. Dad outlived his five brothers and four sisters and leaves behind many nieces and nephews in Mexico.
Dad immigrated to the United States in 1968 to the Avenal/Kettleman city area to harvest the fields. Later he moved his family to the Fresno/Easton area. He continued harvesting the San Joaquin Valley crops with his wife and all of his children at his side.
Dad was a little “rough” with his boys, but he always had a tender heart for his two daughters. He was a fighter and did not give up easily, but this last year was hard on his health. Dad was a man who had a lot of friends as he made friends easily. He was a talker and story teller who liked to embellish his stories for the entertainment of others. As the sorrow of this moment lessens, we are sure to recall with laughter many, many fond memories as someone will invariably start with, “remember when Dad did this.......remember when Dad said that?”
Dad is survived by his wife, Rosa of 60 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Pastor Armando R. Aguilar and his wife MariaElena, Josefina Rosales and her husband Rodolfo, Martin Aguilar, Bertha Mendoza and her husband Joe, Jorge Aguilar, Robert Aguilar and his wife Elvia, Carlos Aguilar and his wife Tina, and Tony Avila and his wife Maribel. He also leaves behind 16 beautiful grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A very special thank you to our mother, Rosa and our sister in law, Elvia Aguilar who were loving and compassionate care-givers to Dad. Our family also thanks his primary care physician, Dr. Harry Chen and his staff, in particular Alma, and his cardiologist, Dr. Michael Gen for their dedicated and professional care. Likewise, we thank all of our friends for the prayers and support during this time. Your shared memories, comforting condolences, and gestures of love are truly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Anastacio Aguilar Family
