James Robert (Jim) Janusz of Richardson, Texas, passed away on September 16, 2020. He was born in Milwaukee on September 14, 1949 to Robert and Esther Janusz. His parents and his brother Randy preceded him in death.
Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971 as a medical corpsman. He served one tour in Vietnam and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Presidential Unit Citation medals- The Bronze Star and the Honor Medal.
After the Army, Jim completed his B.S. degree in Zoology, married his high school sweetheart Virginia (Ginger), and together they had two children, Anne and Mark, and four cherished grandchildren. Jim was an avid guitar and harmonica player and their house was always filled with music.
Married for 49 years, Jim is survived by his wife, Ginger; daughter Anne and her husband Johnny Dutton of Spring Branch and their three children; son Mark Janusz and his wife Zoe of Hong Kong and their son. Cherished grandchildren are Clara, Sage, Asher and Ian.
Service and burial will be at the U.S. National Cemetery in Dallas.
