Anne Marie Jeanine Cadet

The sixth of ten children, Anne Marie Jeaninne (Mandu) Cadet was born to Present Jacinthe and Marie-Therese Robillard on November 3, 1957 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She passed away on Monday September 21, 2020. She was a member of the Berean Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Atlanta, GA and was a frequent visitor of the Haitian Elim Church in Marietta, GA.

Anne Marie immigrated to the United States in 1984 after completing her secondary education. Wasting no time and wanting to further her education while helping others, she quickly became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) which allowed her to care for patients in nursing home facilities. While working as a CNA, she enrolled in a nursing program at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, IL. Anne Marie graduated from Oakton Community College in 1992 and began her career as a registered nurse.

Throughout her career, Anne Marie worked in a variety of Hospital settings including: Telemetry, Cardiology, Medical Surgery, and the Intensive Care Unit as a Staff and Charge Nurse. She also served as a Nurse Educator and Counselor. Her employments included Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center (Chicago, IL), Saint Francis Hospital (Evanston, IL), Wellstar Cobb Hospital (Austell, GA), as well as Piedmont and Emory Hospitals (Atlanta, GA).

Anne Marie was known to be an outstanding employee. Being a registered nurse was a passion of hers and she truly loved what she did. She loved providing care and comfort to her patients to the point that there were times when she forgot to take care of herself.

While living in Chicago, she was a faithful member of the Lake Region and Illinois Conference. She attended Bethlehem Seventh-Day Adventist French Church (Chicago, IL), New Jerusalem Seventh-Day Adventist Church (Evanston, IL), and the North Shore Seventh-Day Adventist Church (Chicago, IL).

Anne Marie loved to laugh, had an amazing joy for life and brought the same laughter and joy to others. She loved to eat and lived life to the fullest. If you went to her home, there was always a plate for you. Anne Marie was a storyteller and always had one more story to share before you left. She loved helping others and had a giving spirit, which was displayed in her work as a registered nurse and through the way she loved and treated everyone.

Her labor and suffering ended on the morning of September 21, 2020. She went to her rest and is waiting for her Savior and King to wake her up on the great day of resurrection.

Anne Marie was preceded in death by her parents: Present Jacinthe and Marie-Therese Robillard; brother Lionel Jacinthe and sister Elone Robillard.

Anne Marie is survived by her husband, Antonio Cadet, children Monica Cadet and Dylan Cadet; her siblings: Frantz Jacinthe; Gabriel Jacinthe and his wife; Rose-Marie Charles and her husband; Mimose Ternier and her husband; Jean Robest Pierre Desiree and his wife; Simone Marc and her husband; and Renellique Robillard. Anne Marie is also survived by her beloved nephews and nieces: Judie Anne and her husband; Dominique, Cynthia, Andy, Gamael Catherine and family, Stephanie, Rose Emelyne, Jean-Robert Vladimir and his wife, Rose-Berthe and her husband, Henry and his wife, David, Katherine, Omar, Akim, Tarik, Gina, Felder Sydney and his wife, Marconi and his wife, Loica and her husband.

She will be deeply missed by her friends, families, and the many who knew her. May we all find comfort knowing she is at peace waiting for the return of her Lord and Savior.
