Joan moved with her parents in 1958 to Thornwood, New York to be closer to her Sister’s family.
Joan was an extremely private, organized person with a great work ethic. Her loyalty to her work at the Corporate Level of Companies for top level Executives was her life. She worked for Lear Siegler/Astek Division for seven years and moved on to Cabot Corporation, Tull Aviation Division as Secretary to the President for fifteen years. Each of these Companies grew and then later moved to other parts of the Country, however Joan stayed loyal to her state of New York and her family ties. Her retirement from NGK Metals Company as a Sales Representative for metal products was accompanied with an award of twenty years of service.
After retirement, Joan married the man of her dreams. However, sadly her husband Robert passed after a brief marriage of just eight years. They enjoyed their life in Boston and Nashua New Hampshire. They were truly inseparable and full of life, travelling around the world.
Joan will be missed by the friends and relatives her life touched over the years, especially her extended family, Nephew, Dr. Douglas Fauser and his wife, Dale of North Salem, NY, Nieces Debi J. Baier of Plainville, MA and Cindy L. Doherty and her husband Edmund of Harwich Port. Her lovely best friend from High School, Betty Mathews from New York has been a true rock of love.
Our deepest gratitude to the staff of The Terraces of Orleans and Liberty Commons of Chatham for their unending care and love during Joan’s journey of the last four years with Parkinson’s Disease.
