Paul attended Arlington State College, studying mechanical engineering, before joining the United States Marine Corp. In 1970, he started a small appliance repair business that later became Southwestern Parts and Service, now one of the largest fishing reel repair centers in the US.
Paul is survived by his wife of 54-years, Charlotte; daughter, Ginger Moore Quillen, and husband, William Upton Quillen; son, Shane Alan Moore, and wife, Laura Ann Moore; grandson, William Paul Quillen; granddaughters, Morgan Michelle Quillen, Ashlee Lyn Moore and Brooke Ann Moore; sister, Susan Branan, and many other relatives and friends.
He will be remembered for his “terrible” jokes, infectious smile, passion for life, and unwavering support, love and friendship to so many.
A private family service will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
To continue his legacy of fostering a love for the sport of fishing, Brother Bill’s Helping Hand (https://bbhh.org/) is accepting donations in Paul’s name that will be aimed at programs focusing on West Dallas community youth.
