Paul was born in Sun Way, Kwangtung, China on August 23, 1931. He was
the youngest of 3 children (2 sons and daughter) to Lum Ying Kit (Lum Sew) and Cheung She.
Paul emigrated to Canada in 1959. He worked many jobs including logging camps and ended up working as a labourer/grinder with West Coast Reduction until his retirement in 1995.
Before and after retirement, he continued his involvement with the Lim Sai Hor (Kow Mock) Benevolent Association and Shar Doey Mutual Society in helping and supporting family in Canada and China.
Paul is survived by his wife Lily Yung Fong, his children Donald, Diane (Peter) Neville-Hadley and Doreen (Juliana) and grandchildren, André and Lucy. He will be missed by family and friends.
A visitation for Mr. Paul Sho Men Lum will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1. A committal service will occur Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1.
