Christopher E. Sulisz, age 72, passed away on October 4, 2020. He was born in Detroit to Eugene and Lucy (Knieja) Sulisz. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Harriet, his loving sons Robert (Sherry) and Scott (Tina), his cherished grandchildren Olivia and Spencer, dear siblings Carol (Tom) Buckley and Cyndy (Michael) Coccia, his nephew/business partner Steve (Stacey) Howcroft and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lydia and Betty, and brother Ronald.
Chris grew up in Southgate and shortly after high school, he and Harriet married and started their family. In the early years of their marriage, Chris served in the Army and was a proud veteran serving his country during the Vietnam era. He and Harriet settled their family in Fraser where he coached youth soccer for many years. He spent his career at Magnetool in Troy and also owned other small businesses over the years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing and had a passion for classic cars and model trains.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 2-8pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
