Frances P. Fisher, age 97 of Grandville, walked without pain, into the arms of Jesus early on October 3, 2020. Fran was a very happy and social person. She was an active member of St. Pius X church. She loved being a greeter on Sundays and was a part of everything social at church. She played cards and dice with family and friends and continued winning even at 97 years old. She belonged to Red Hats and enjoyed each get together and the friends she met. She loved to travel, tend to her beautiful flowers, and entertain family and friends. She spent most of her time in her kitchen making the Italian foods she grew up with. No one ever left Frannie’s house hungry. She was able to work for 30 years at General Motors while raising three daughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clayton Fisher, and her beloved daughter, Sharon Reinertson. Left here to miss her everyday are her daughters Kathy (Jack) Barber, and Suzi (Rich) Hubbard. Fran was blessed with seven grandchildren. Their visits and phone calls meant so much to her. Fran was “Nana (Grandma) Great” to several great-grandchildren. They loved celebrating birthdays and holidays with her. She made many friends at Sheldon Meadows where she lived two and a half years. The family wants to thank everyone there, as well as Spectrum Health Hospice, for their genuine love and care of Fran.
Relatives and friends may meet Fran’s family from 10-11 AM Friday, October 9, 2020 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM at the church (please RSVP www.spxcatholic.org). There will be a private family burial at Floral View Cemetery. Her family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
