Abimbola was born to Albert and Dorcas Akinlagun on January 08, 1959 in Lagos, Nigeria. As a child she was quiet, lovely, and made everyone around her feel welcome.
Abimbola met her husband, Victor in 1975 at a family gathering. They married in 1983 and went on to have 3 children, Bunmi, Solomon and Tega. Abimbola was a teacher, lover of children and an entrepreneur, founding multiple businesses (one of which was a multi-million dollar business) and instilling that same entrepreneurial instinct in her children.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Abimbola also loved embedding herself in the word of God and dancing. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. It was this faith that served as the foundation for her generous, giving spirit. Abimbola established multiple charities and scholarships, a philanthropist par excellence.
She always had a kind word of advice for everyone around her and was willing to open her home to those who needed a home. Abimbola was extremely family oriented.
Abimbola joins her parents and siblings in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and siblings.
