Fredrick D’Amico, 66 of Folsom, passed away in his home on Monday, September 28, 2020. Born on January 21, 1954 in Passaic, NJ, Fred grew up in Wayne, NJ. He attended Wayne Hills HS and graduated from Rutgers University.
He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Page (Jon) and Lisa Rodriguez (Luis); his son, Frank D’Amico; his five grandchildren, Audrey and Austin Page and Mia, Sophia, and Elias Rodriguez. He is also survived by 6 siblings: Ralph D’Amico (Joan), Frances D’Amico, Nancy Buchanan (Hank), James D’Amico (Teresa), William “Bill” (Lisa), and Lar (Jackie), and 14 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Elaine D’Amico.
Fred was an IT specialist and worked both in the private and public sectors.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Fred enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and Tai Chi in the park. He was an accomplished photographer of natural landscapes. Some of his favorite places to hike included Point Reyes, Fort Bragg, Yosemite and Eagle Lake. He was the official photographer at family gatherings. Fred was a talented guitarist, and he was passionate about his art and writing poetry.
Fred used his mechanical talents as a volunteer with Cycles 4 Hope, an organization that refurbished bicycles for the homeless and others in need of transportation.
Fred was a Father, Grandfather, Brother (and Brother-in-Law), and friend. He was loved by family and friends and will be missed by all.
